First 100 MSP Members Collage

Last night, I was laying in bed. I was thinking about the site. How can I make it more interesting...What's the first impression that people have when they hit my home page?
Is there a way to show people in something other than words what's beneath the surface of the MSP community without logging in?

I decided to make a collage using pictures that members uploaded for their profile picture.
The reason.. Well, I guess it's because there is nothing more unique than a picture. A profile pic is especially interesting because it a small glimpse into a personality a lot of the time. When I was finished, I was amazed. I can't believe the diverse group that has joined MySiteProfile.com. It's beautiful. I was inspired to show all willing to look, and encourage anyone willing to partake as the community grows. This is the collage. I will continue to add to it as time goes. I'm hoping to run out of monitor space ;-)

101 MSPmations

I hit member 101 today, its crazy, my site has done so well in under 30 days. I am very grateful to all my new members. Some very cool people have signed up in the last 18 days. I can't imagine what it's going to be like a few months from now. If I take anything out of this experience, it will be a huge network of people in my industry to exchange knowledge and skills with. I couldn't ask for anything more. Well,a couple bucks would be nice too.. I guess, but nothing else hehe..

Whats Next?

Well, I have started the next project. A directory to work in correlation to MSP. The directory will be released sometime this month, and merged with mysiteprofile.com. My hopes are, the directory will be a hit like MSP, but even if it has a slow start, I have faith it will grow fast once in the search engines.

-Cheers

Man This Was Easy

This was easy, I can see why blogger is so freaking popular, Word-Press should jump on the band wagon.

As for me, I started this blog to aid in promotion of my new website http://mysiteprofile.com. The site is open to all creative types including; bloggers, designers, programmers, artists, and anyone interested in learning some helpful search engine marketing tips. Here's a brief overview of what can be expected. Just so you know some of this information will be repeated on the main website in the about page, I'm to tired to come up with a fresh description this late at night. Sorry:) As features change and update I will be the first to blog about them, so don't worry about not being up to par.

MySiteProfile.com is a search engine friendly, online community and social network for bloggers, web designers, developers and various types of artists. It gives its members the opportunity to brand themselves through a personalized profile page in which they can promote their businesses or services, as well as their talents and interests, while gaining recognition amongst other like minds. Although MySiteProfile.com was intended to be used by web marketing professionals, we welcome all persons interested in the offerings of this site.

MySiteProfile allows members to actively participate in the networking and self- promotion process through various features.

  1. Some of these features include:
  2. Personal Profile Pages with member's descriptions, live links, logos or images, various design choices and a personalized messaging system
  3. Galleries to upload web snapshots, photos, images, artwork, etc.
  4. Biweekly Design Contests with unique categories
  5. Blogs that are continuously updated on the community home page
  6. Specific Groups that can be originally created or subscribed to
  7. Community Forums for ongoing support, current announcements and postings
Upcoming Features:
  1. Flash Animation section where members can submit flash movies
  2. Video and Music Upload tool
  3. Built in RSS Aggregator where members can sink their favorite feeds to their profile section

MySiteProfile.com Inspiration:
After numerous attempts of finding a free directory to promote my websites, I just kept coming up with spam in my email and no traffic results. Even with legitimate directories, there was no opportunity to visually present the site I was submitting, resulting in a needle in a haystack effect.

What makes MySiteProfile.com different than other online communities?
Unlike myspace, the community's focus is networking on a professional level while targeting web geeks (and I mean that with the utmost respect). Its features give its members the chance to support each other and give valuable feedback on things such as site design, SEO, and marketing techniques. I also notice that my pioneer members are enjoying the commonalities that they share while becoming friends in a niche web society.

Aaron's Background:
I have a degree in Multimedia Arts with a focus in Web design. Over the last few years, I have become increasingly interested in PHP Programming and SEO/Search Engine Marketing. I am currently employed by Lawinfo.com in the Web Design and Programming/ SEO departments.

I make a reference to crack in my slogan
because my wife constantly tells me that I'm addicted to my work. I tell her, "At least its not crack." Plus I'm usually up until 3am like a crack head hacking away at my websites.

Thanks, Aaron Ponce
